Description

The serialNet-IP is a standalone network serial RS232 device allowing bi-directional RS232 communication across an ethernet network from a host PC running Control Point’s automation software. Parity, hardware flow control, and baud rate are configured via the serialNet-IP internal web page or via configuration command. A wide range of baud rate options are available, up to 115200 baud. All serial data is passed through without interpretation or conversion via an assigned, unique IP port. Any Serial RS-232 controllable device can be controlled via the serialNet-IP such as commercial and consumer grade displays (Samsung Exlink, Sony, LG, Toshiba, etc.), projectors and more.

The serialNet-IP has a small footprint housing an RJ45 network port, a micro-USB port (for power) and a 3.5mm port designed for RS232 communication, effectively interfacing Serial RS232 A/V components to a networked connection. Seamless integration with Control Point’s automation software creates reliable, low latency connections to a multitude of devices simultaneously.

Companion Applications

Configure serialNet-IP devices and test serial commands via the irNetHelp and irNetTest applications.
